The story
We started in 2016, when uptime monitoring already felt like a solved problem — and kept noticing everything it didn't catch. A site can be perfectly "up" while its certificate quietly expires, its DMARC policy leaves it spoofable, a security header disappears in a deploy, or a nightly cron job stops running. Nobody gets paged for any of that. A customer finds it first.
A decade of writing about outages, expiries and silent failures — our blog archive goes back to early 2016 — kept sharpening the same conclusion: the loud failure mode is the easy one. The silent ones needed a product. So we built it.
We're bootstrapped and independent on purpose. Monitoring is a trust business: you're wiring our alerts into your 3am. That trust is easier to keep when the only people we answer to are the customers paying the bill.
