Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CompleteStatus ("CompleteStatus", "we", "us"), the uptime, TLS, DNS, and security-posture monitoring service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
CompleteStatus monitors websites, APIs, certificates, DNS records, and email authentication for targets you configure, and provides alerts, status pages, and reports. Features and limits vary by plan; the current plans and their limits are described on our pricing page and may change over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your account and credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- monitor, scan, or probe targets you do not own or are not authorized to test;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent the service or its rate limits;
- violate any applicable law or the rights of others; or
- resell or white-label the service except where your plan expressly permits it.
You confirm that you have authority to monitor each target you add. We may suspend monitoring or accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
4. Plans, billing, and payment
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; payment details are handled by the processor. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on prospective notice; changes do not affect the current paid period. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
The Free plan may be used for commercial purposes within its published limits, with no credit card required. If your usage exceeds your plan's limits, monitors above the limit may be paused until you upgrade or reduce usage.
5. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the data you submit (such as target URLs, monitor configuration, and contact details). You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service — for example, to run checks and deliver alerts and reports. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate but provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Monitoring results, alerts, and status information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and should not be your only safeguard against downtime or security issues.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompleteStatus disclaims all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, and our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with law. On termination your right to use the service ends; certain provisions survive by their nature.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
